LOL When I first looked at these two cards together, I thought about having to deal with a friend and her troubled marriage, as it's always me who sits and listens, then hugs it out with them! I hope your day gets better for you. This kind of emotion makes me want to move through the day with the grace of a bulldozer, when instead of should be mindfully navigating my way to avoid leaving a trail of hurt feelings in my wake! :)thesycamoretreehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15182019323050600440noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4948441046758510841.post-2378392248004011382015-07-12T09:07:58.176-04:002015-07-12T09:07:58.176-04:00Oh dear, wrong-side-of-the-bed wake- ups require e...Oh dear, wrong-side-of-the-bed wake- ups require extra care and attention. My little canine familiar does wonders for me on those days. Mary Oliver talks about 'letting the soft animal of the body love what it loves' which is why I think dogs nurture us so. They allow us that grace, allow us the opportunity to sink into 'the soft animal of the body', theirs and ours.

Sending you a gentle hug through the ethers, friend, as you navigate your day...

"You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
For a hundred miles through the desert, repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves."Rosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13895509286985960682noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4948441046758510841.post-32406129704983691322015-07-12T08:37:52.379-04:002015-07-12T08:37:52.379-04:00(Lends Ellen a heavy leather coat and gloves to pr...(Lends Ellen a heavy leather coat and gloves to protect from prickles) :D
It is so nice to have a pet that loves you so unconditionally; it's hard to stay irritable with that kind of devotion!
The thing with moods is that I know they'll eventually pass given enough time. People are strange and complex beings. Now take our Jofee: Always happy and if not there is no doubt about the reason. Our Jofee is as transparent as can be and that's why we love him so much. How ill tempered our day may start we can always turn to him for some balanced guidance :D
I hope/believe your day will turn out great. As you've said discovering what troubles you is often a big step towards feeling a lot better
Careful Hugs (because of the prickles :D)Ellenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02617686222764658629noreply@blogger.com
