But when hope has specifics tied to it, it can be like filling our pockets with lead and trying to swim.
Good lord woman, what time do you get up in the morning!?thesycamoretreehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15182019323050600440noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4948441046758510841.post-59710465204973319192017-01-10T01:45:10.148-05:002017-01-10T01:45:10.148-05:00That's a great quote, and I love the focus on ...That's a great quote, and I love the focus on self - creating our own happiness whatever the external circumstances. And your words on hope really struck me, too. It can be such a double edged sword (thinking especially of Emily Carding's depiction of the Five of Swords - Hope Discarded http://innerwhisperscouk.blogspot.co.uk/2011/05/hope-part-2.html). So, a need to balance hope and a feeling of being to affect life with acceptance of what we cannot change and what we cannot achieve, no matter how much hope we place in it.

Sorry for the rant, it coincides with my morning reading, in a way...Inner Whispershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04577110987784585986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4948441046758510841.post-58685753426371474162017-01-08T10:29:00.599-05:002017-01-08T10:29:00.599-05:00I do think it is important to realize I have a cho...I do think it is important to realize I have a choice in my actions and attitudes! :)thesycamoretreehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15182019323050600440noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4948441046758510841.post-50055235975675425502017-01-08T10:12:53.433-05:002017-01-08T10:12:53.433-05:00I love how both you and Carolyn are writing about ...I love how both you and Carolyn are writing about the necessity to take the wheel and drive by yourself, instead of becoming the victim of life :)Ellenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02617686222764658629noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4948441046758510841.post-50163162586431875652017-01-08T09:42:19.468-05:002017-01-08T09:42:19.468-05:00When I read your post today, I thought we were bot...When I read your post today, I thought we were both headed in a similar direction. :)thesycamoretreehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15182019323050600440noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4948441046758510841.post-32541180950297493802017-01-08T09:40:49.740-05:002017-01-08T09:40:49.740-05:00Nice post and good words of wisdom.
