I have made myself "practice" with people who wouldn't mind a kind touch (which has gotten easier), but I still feel that feeling when I hug people. At least those who know me well realize if they get a hug from me, its a big deal! :D I do think children break down a lot of those walls though.thesycamoretreehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15182019323050600440noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4948441046758510841.post-91329358837083540422015-04-22T02:56:03.854-04:002015-04-22T02:56:03.854-04:00I've always marvelled at people who can casual...I've always marvelled at people who can casually brush someone else's arm or place a hand on another's lower back. I love when people reach out and touch me (well, in the non-creepy-guy sense), yet I can't do it myself. Still, I'm a lot more cuddly than others I know. And so grateful that my children love cuddles. That was a huge fear for me with my disabled son: he could have been autistic and not wanted to be touched! All to say, maybe I need to appreciate the magic of the touch I do allow myself, and not worry about what I cannot manage...Neopagan Priestesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15389878173900385163noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4948441046758510841.post-44942438056651857612015-04-21T11:23:03.899-04:002015-04-21T11:23:03.899-04:00It was weird, huh?It was weird, huh?thesycamoretreehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15182019323050600440noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4948441046758510841.post-26494811817934781282015-04-21T10:21:24.665-04:002015-04-21T10:21:24.665-04:00Love your take on the knight unicorn pairing...Love your take on the knight unicorn pairing...Sharyn Mallow Woerzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17776056375534578046noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4948441046758510841.post-29581846844636564832015-04-21T09:49:04.435-04:002015-04-21T09:49:04.435-04:00I try to convince myself that the work and service...I try to convince myself that the work and service done for other is enough (so I can stay behind that wall), but I know that more is required. :)thesycamoretreehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15182019323050600440noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4948441046758510841.post-29839853006820653372015-04-21T09:22:20.006-04:002015-04-21T09:22:20.006-04:00It is so tempting to hide behind hard work and doi...It is so tempting to hide behind hard work and doing what needs to be done Being vulnerable is so much harder and scarier Who knows the unicorn can work his magic for us and find some cracks in the walls :)Ellenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02617686222764658629noreply@blogger.com
