I use tarot and oracle cards as tools for reflection and contemplation. Rather than divining the future, they are a way for me to look more deeply at the "now."

Quiet Reflection

From the Sasuraibito Tarot, the Hermit; from the Soul Cards, Mind, Body and Heart:

Follow effective action with quiet reflection. From the quiet reflection will come even more effective action. –Peter Drucker

After going through an ordeal or major life event, we need rest, but we also solitude and reflection. Looking back at the path we walked is not meant to shame or praise ourselves, but to learn what helped and what hindered or harmed us. The Mind, Body and Spirit card is a reminder that there is wisdom in each part of us if we are quiet and still enough to pay attention. Together, rather than separately, they can help us forge a way forward that is both compassionate and prudent.
