I use tarot and oracle cards as tools for reflection and contemplation. Rather than divining the future, they are a way for me to look more deeply at the "now."

Super Power

From the Tarot of the Cat People, the Queen of Wands; from the Sacred Geometry Oracle, Tetrahedron:

Curious that we spend more time congratulating people who have succeeded than encouraging people who have not. ― Neil deGrasse Tyson

This passionate queen who can think on her feet has a super power - encouraging other people. She understands that words of support can give someone the self-confidence and determination to work hard until their goal is reached. The Tetrahedron is a four-sided pyramid made of triangles. Because its stiff edges make it rigid, it is often used in truss-like frames that span large areas with few interior supports. Thus the tetrahedron symbolizes the ability to make things more stable and secure. The Queen of Wands knows that words should be used with discernment as they can encourage someone's potential or be critical and destroy it. As Abraham Joshua Heschel warned, "Speech has power. Words do not fade. What starts out as a sound, ends in a deed."

Making and Managing

From the Tarot of the Cat People, the King of Pentacles; from the Sacred Geometry Oracle, the Tetrahedron:
Making money is hard enough, but managing money is infinitely more difficult. The skills and instincts necessary for one can actually hinder the other. ~J.E. Wilson Advisors

Kuykendall's King of Pentacles has whisker-like protrusions from his crown. In the same way that a cat's whiskers are a well-honed sensory tool, this King has his senses feeling out all parts of his kingdom - what is getting created, what is being sustained, and what is being used. The Tetrahedron is associated with the element of Fire and thus energy. Every fire needs fuel to sustain it, but the wise fire keeper knows that green wood won't burn well and cutting down all the trees will eventually deplete resources if others aren't planted. This King asks us to take a look at how we are managing, using and replacing our physical resources, whether that might be our time, health or finances.

Keep the Fire in Bounds

From the Nicoletta Ceccoli Tarot, the Three of Wands; from the Sacred Geometry Oracle, the "Tetrahedron:"
With the Ace of Wands there is inspiration, and with the Two comes a choice to act on it. By the time the Three appears, following the passion has produced some results. The beautiful spiral of roses this fairy-like girl has created implies the pursuit of her goal has generated something positive. But it has also attracted the interest of a fox in the background, whose motives are questionable. I think her vantage point in the tree is a good one; from there she can keep an eye on her progress as well as any problems that might pop up.
The tetrahedron is the first and simplest three-dimensional figure in sacred geometry. Formed from four equilateral triangles, it is associated with the element of fire. When I have a pet project or an objective I'm aiming for, there is a lot of fiery energy involved. That slow burn can keep things moving in the right direction. But if someone or something causes things to go off track, I might be tempted to use that fire in an aggressive way that is not beneficial. "Protect and correct" is a much better use of my energy than launching an attack. I'm going to need that fire and shouldn't waste it.
