From the Tarot of the Masters, the Five of Wands; from the Key to the Kingdom, the "Nine of Diamonds:"
Ricklef's Five of Wands was inspired by Bosch's "Christ Carrying the Cross." All those men in the card are in my mind, each trying to argue louder than the other (as if that will make a difference). My desire is to keep working in the yard today: weeding, adding more mulch, clipping back brush. Yet I'm supposed to lead the discussion at book club today and the meditation group on Friday. The cat is out of his antibiotic, and I might have company coming this weekend (the house hasn't been cleaned in almost two weeks since all my efforts have been outdoors). Seeing the Nine of Diamonds made me think of the phrase, "get your ducks in a row." I need to rely on the two Ps today: priority and preparation. At the top of the list will be a trip to the vet, followed by finding and reviewing my notes for book club. I'll add more when those two are off the list.
I hear your garden trying to yell the loudest over all these other obligations:)
ReplyDeleteI do hope it will be a good day anyway and you will have lovely and fulfilling evening at the book club
Btw what are you reading?
The outdoors is definitely the loudest, though I'm about to make a run to the vet anyway. :) I go to two book clubs, one for "fun" reads (novels) and the other is only on theological books. The one we're reading now is "Without Buddha I Could Not Be a Christian."
DeleteI've read a review and I think maybe he is also on a spiral path (back to Christianity), becoming a spiritual being rather than being fenced in by the dogma's of a religion. Anyway it looks like an interesting read. :)
DeleteThe novel we're reading in the other book club is "The White Magic Five and Dime." Each chapter starts with a hilarious description of a tarot card. :)
DeleteI really enjoyed the White Magic Five and Dime, and didn't guess a couple of the twists - always a plus with a cozy mystery :D
DeleteIt is a great read - a mystery plus an added dose of tarot humor. :)
DeleteFirst things first eh Bev.
ReplyDeleteBeing a Gemini and having a somewhat ADD personality can easily lead me to distraction.
I have painting to get at for an upcoming show in June. Good thing it's not really suitable outside for outdoor work, otherwise I'd be out there. Meantime the house indoors has lots of 'challenges', but painting today has to come first. Needless to say I am not a lover of house work!
Hope you book club and meeting go very well, which I'm sure they will and puss cat is better.
Hope your painting and show goes well - best of luck!
